The Book Parade

The Book Parade is a super fun day where our whole school dresses up as a character from a book and we parade around the school for all of the students and parents to see. It was a super fun time and it's awesome seeing all of the creative costumes!  Our parents got to some in to read with us too!

Book Parade and Dr. Seuss Day!

Ms. Schlegel is a little bit behind on blogging! But I'm working on catching up! First up is our super fun Book Parade and Dr. Seuss Day! The week before Spring Break, we got to dress up as our favorite characters from books and parade around the school carrying our book!

We had lots of fun costumes in our classroom! We got to walk through the hallways at school and see all of the other Meadow Lane students and their costumes! After we were done, some parents joined us in our room for reading!

It was a fun morning!

After that, we had a visitor in the library! Cat in the Hat came to read to us and brought lots of different characters for us to play with!

Book Parade

This note went home in Wednesday folders today (February, 26th)

It is about the Book Parade that is happening on Monday, March 3rd starting at 9:15am. Your child will be able to dress as their favorite character from a book and carry the book while parading through the hallways at Meadow Lane for parents and friends! Please remember to send your child with their costume over their clothes or with a change of clothes as they are not to wear their costume all day. After the parade is over, you are free to join us in our room for reading with your child and their classmates. Let me know if there are any questions!

Dear Parents,

You are invited to come and watch your child parade through the hallways on Monday, March 3^rd at 9:15. Students can bring their favorite book from home and dress up as a character from their book. Please have your child wear their “character costume” over their school clothes to school, and then they will have a chance to take off their costume after the parade.
