We also had a parent reader on Monday! Ethan's mom came in to read to our class and bring Ethan's treats for his birthday that he had over Spring Break! She read us a Dr. Seuss book, an alien one, and a Bad Kitty book, which we always love! Thanks for coming to read to us!

St. Patricks Day & Parent Reader
With St. Patricks Day being the Monday after Spring Break, it snuck up on us fast! We made some hats to wear during the day and did a writing activity about the six things we would wish for if a leprechaun gave us a rainbow of wishes! We used our brains to really figure out how to spell the things we were wishing for by sound spelling them out!

Valentine's Day!
Our class was very excited for Valentine's Day! As a child, it was one of my favorite holidays to celebrate in the classroom and we had lots of fun Friday!
We started our morning by playing a matching game with hearts. We had to really use our observation skills to check who was our match and move the heart around to see if it was going to work. We played this game quite a few times and really enjoyed it! We used great teamwork to help each other out!
We made some crafts that were little Valentine's hangers. We quickly started to realize that our glue did not want to stick to our cups, and our little Valentine wasn't working as well as we wanted it to! So we tried to make up for it using staples and glue and it didn't work much better! So we learned our lesson with glue and won't be trying that again!
We played Valentine's Bingo and got to pass out all of our Valentine's in bags to open and read through at the end of the day! The kids loved getting Valentine's from their friends! Thanks for being such great parents!

Reminders
We have been so busy lately in Kindergarten!
We have just taken our Unit 2 math test and started Unit 3 on Monday! Week 4 of Literacy started on Monday as well! I can't believe we've been in school this long already!
Just a few reminders of some things coming up :

Just a few reminders of some things coming up :
- Holiday book orders went home in Wednesday folders last week. If you were thinking of buying any books for anyone for Christmas or anything, this is a great book order to pick from! There are some really great books for amazing prices! We have earned so many awesome books for our classroom because of the amount of orders we have had turned in so thank you for that! November 22nd is the due date!
- Meadow Lane t-shirt order forms also went home in Wednesday folders last week. These orders are due by November 22nd. There is a sample shirt on the order form and in the front hallway at Meadow Lane!
- Thanksgiving Break starts Wednesday, November 27th. Tuesday, November 26th is a PLC day and Monday, December 2nd is a no school day as well. I hope your kiddos enjoy this long, much needed break!
- We practiced some code red drills in our room and school last week. Ask your student if they know what to do if a code red ever happens. They should hopefully be able to tell you exactly what their job is!
- We got 5 Brownies on Wednesday and got to have an extra recess outside! We had a ton of fun playing in all the leaves that were all over our playground!
- Don't forget to return your decorated turkeys for us to hang up in the hallway!
I hope you have a great weekend and are ready for a quick week back before Thanksgiving!
